I was asked for this commission by Jackie who lives between New Zealand and Portugal. We both live near São Lourenço beach and this was the motto for the custom. A diptych with blues and greens, the beautiful colours of the views that surround us. As I walked around the area, I began to photograph it so that I could later use the photographs as references and start painting. A diptych in which the compositions move from one canvas to the other, with landscapes and colours all around.
This month (March 2025) I’ll be saying see you soon or goodbye to the area of S. Lourenço where I’ve been living memories for the last three years, which makes this cycle even more special as I complete this commission.
Not to mention that it’s in my plans to go to New Zealand this year...
